FAQ

How comprehensive are those hacks?

In Megadimension, Neptunia U and all the Unity 3D they are super comprehensive. Whenever the character appears on screen their scale will be adjusted – that includes dungeons, battles, 3D event sequences, formation screen as well as Equipment screen. In the Re;Birth titles as well as Superdimension Neptune it's less comprehensive, it will only apply in dungeons and battles but not during the Equipment screen.

What about other games?

To be frank:
  • Megadimension Neptunia VIIR - I frankly feel VII is superior, and the Orochi engine it uses is a PITA!
  • Neptunia Virtual Stars - Uses both Orochi engine and is a terrible game! Double NOPE!
  • Neptunia X Senran Kagura - That game is pain - both playwise and mod wise.
  • Neptunia Shooter and Top Nep - I don't hate those games but they're not worth it XD
  • Any non PC Neptunia game - obviously out of scope
So it's essentially mostly because of taste - and no I don't like Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos, the game is 14/10 stupid, it bursts all limits in stupidity - it's just.. it fundamentally works the same way as SVS and Game Maker so I took it along. It wasn't any effort.

What does the "Save to game" button do?

This one is on the Web interface of the Unity mods. When you click it - the sizes will be fully forced into the game. So the next time you launch the game. They will apply again.

Why no CheatEngine for the Unity games?

Admittedly Unity does a lot of memory shifting - and it's outright easier to have these games self-manage. On top: this way these mods work on Linux and also on Steam Decks.

It doesn't work for MegaTagmension Blanc+Neptune vs. Zombies or Neptunia U?

You probably didn't get CheatEngine 6.6. Sadly MegaTagmension requires some advanced changes which require CheatEngine 6.6. They won't be backported..

Can I use this online in case of MegaTagmension or 4GO?

Yes! Notice though that it won't have any effects on gameplay thus it can hardly be considered cheating. Altering your or other player's sizes won't affect their stats or hitboxes. And yes, it works in 4GO but my condolences for trying to play that one online (could have been so much fun but it's lag fest).

Does it work for the 2D Visual Novel sequences?

No. Neither in the Unity games nor the older games.

I've disabled the mods and the sizes haven't reset. When I reenabled it they all show as 1 but they aren't. What's happening?

It can take a while until heights reset. Usually when you switch a dungeon. In the Unity games or other games the effects should be instant.

I closed CheatEngine – the size hacks still apply but when I load it again I cannot activate the hack anymore. How can I reactivate it or deactivate it?

You have to restart the game. If you quit CheatEngine while the hack is active, the hack remains active and after loading CheatEngine again it's unable to reset the hack.

I closed the web browser – the size hacks still apply

General disclaimer

While these hax above never actually integrally change the game behaviour, CheatEngine is actually able to heavily modify your game. As of such save game corruption, game crashes and even operating system crashes or related things when using CheatEngine are possible. As all games store to your Steam Cloud an actual damage to all save games is highly unlikely but possible. The cheat code lists coming with this readme have been tested to not crash the game or corrupt it in any way. However, I still cannot and will not be held reponsible for any issues happening on your side.
